For Holiday Home Hire

Authority to sign

You certify that you are over the age of 21 years and will be a member of the party occupying the holiday home and are authorized to agree these Booking Conditions on behalf of all members of your party so as to bind all of you by them. This agreement is personal to the parties named in the booking form and cannot be transferred.

Club Membership

The price of your holiday does not include temporary club membership for use of the park facilities. A application form for club membership is available upon request from Acorn Caravan Holidays.

The names of all persons and children (including babies) must be entered on the booking form with their ages states if under 21.

Persons staying in the holiday home shall be identical to those stated on the club membership form, unless permission for variation has been given in writing by Acorn Caravan Holidays.

Retainer Deposit

A retainer deposit of seventy five pounds per holiday home is to be paid within 7 days of booking .On receipt of your retainer deposit, we will send you confirmation of the holiday in writing.

The retainer deposit is a sum of £75 which we collect initially to secure the booking for you. This sum is retained by Acorn Caravan Holidays until the holiday home is checked on your departure for damage, loss, additional cleaning or laundry.

The retainer deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days of holiday ending provided you have observed the terms and conditions herein contained.

Acorn Caravan Holidays have the right to deduct any sums from the retainer deposit should any of the terms and conditions herein contained be breached by you.

Should the amount of the retainer deposit not be sufficient compensation in the event of breach of these terms and conditions,Acorn Caravan Holidays reserve the right to seek additional compensation to cover the cost of damage, loss or additional cleaning or laundry.

Payment

The full price of the holiday without deduction of the retainer deposit is due a minimum of 2 months prior to commencement of the holiday start date unless otherwise agreed at time of booking. No reminders will be sent. If final payment is not received by the final due date – the holiday is liable to be cancelled and the retainer deposit will be applied to administration costs and re-advertising of the holiday date.

Cancellation

You are responsible for arranging your own holiday insurance for events where a cancellation by yourselves may arise.

If the holiday is cancelled in excess of 42 days a refund of the full cost of the holiday will be given,less the retainer deposit which is applied to administration costs.

If the holiday is cancelled with less than 42 days notice before commencement,Acorn Caravan Holidays will use their best endeavours to re-let the holiday home.

If the holiday home is re let you will receive a refund to the value of the re-let dates, less the retainer deposit which will be applied to administration costs.

If the holiday home is not re let,Acorn Caravan Holidays shall be entitled to retain all or any part of the monies that have been paid.

Cancellation of the holiday should in the first instance be made to Acorn Caravan Holidays by telephone supported by confirmation in writing.

If you wish to change your holiday dates before the final payment is made – a £10 admin fee will be applied to the cost of the new holiday dates.

Cancellation By Us

Should the holiday home become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, alternative accommodation will be offered whenever possible. In the event of no alternative accommodation being available, alternative holiday dates will be offered or a refund given. You will have no further claim against us.

Holiday Insurance

We do not provide holiday insurance. You will be responsible for arranging your own insurance in case of cancellation. Please note that our general insurance does not cover your valuables or belongings – you will be responsible for these during your stay.

Arrival and departure

The holiday home will be available for you to take up occupation from 4 pm on the day of arrival and MUST be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure. These times may be varied by prior mutual agreement only and also for weekend and midweek bookings. Please do not drive on the grass when loading and unloading your car – as this is one of the parks strict rules.

Hire of bed linen

Beds in the caravan must not be used unless they have bed linen on them – failure to do so may result in extra laundry costs which will be deducted from the retainer deposit. Freshly laundered bed linen can be hired at the cost quoted or guests are welcome to bring their own. Beds will be made up for your arrival when bed linen is hired.

For a 2 week holiday clean bed linen can be supplied for the second week of your holiday for an additional weeks cost, but the beds will not be made up.

Accommodation

Some caravans are more suitable than others for people with certain disabilities. Please let us know at the time of booking and we will be pleased to advise suitability.

Accommodation and its contents must be left in an undamaged, clean and tidy condition and all rubbish removed. You will be responsible for all damage , replacement, additional laundry and extra cleaning over our cleaners allocated time.

Guest are entirely responsible for any accidents or damage caused by their own property brought into the holiday home.

Guests are also entirely responsible for accidents or damage caused by misuse or neglect of any property provided in the holiday home itself.

We reserve the right to enter the accommodation or pitch at any time for reasonable purpose. If we do need to do so, we will give you as much notice as possible except in an emergency.

Bedding is not provided for travel cots.

When leaving the holiday home unoccupied all doors must be locked, all heaters and appropriate plug points turned off and windows closed securely to protect its contents.

It is now illegal to smoke in the holiday accommodation.

We do not allow single sex groups of 3 or more in the holiday home except by prior agreement with the parks general manager.

We do not allow groups under the age of 21 in the holiday home.

No more than 6 people (including visiting guests) are allowed at any time in the holiday home, unless prior agreement has been made with Acorn Caravan Holidays.

Health and safety

It is your responsibility to inform us immediately, and not to use, appliances, fixtures and fittings which you have found to be faulty or consider unsafe.

You are responsible for your own actions both inside and outside the caravan, and to use the caravan and its appliances, contents, fixtures and fittings in a proper and safe manner.

We accept no responsibility for misuse of any contents, appliances, fixtures and fittings.

You are responsible to supervise all members of your party in your care whilst in occupation of the caravan.

Charging Of Electric Vehicles

Charging of electric vehicles is not permitted from the caravans electricity supply as it poses a fire / health & safety hazard. Failure to comply will result in loss of deposit paid.

Use of Barbecues

This is at your own risk. Your barbecue MUST NOT be used near the veranda and should be placed on the grassed area at a sufficient distance distance from the holiday home and veranda so as not to cause damage.

Noise nuisance, behaviour on park & in accommodation

The management at Bashley Park will not tolerate unreasonable noise levels or unacceptable behaviour on the park and in the accommodation. You must comply with the decent standards of behaviour during your stay and must show consideration for all other persons on the park. If your behaviour is unsatisfactory, then we may elect to terminate this agreement and require you to leave the park immediately.

In these circumstances we will treat your booking as having been cancelled by you from the moment of termination and no refund of the holiday or deposit paid will be due to you.

If you or any person for whom you are responsible causes damage to any property, or causes us loss – you must pay such sum as necessary to make good the damage or loss including any sums we may expend in compensating other people.

Keys

Keys must be returned to the caravans key safe (not park reception) upon vacating the holiday home on the day of departure. You will be responsible for keeping the keys safe during the holiday. There is a £10 charge for any keys lost or not returned after departure.

Lost Property

It is the customers responsibility to inform Acorn Caravan Holidays if any of their personal belongings have been left behind after the holiday. Returned items will be subject to a £5 handling charge plus the cost of postage and packaging.

Hoburne Bashley Park Facilities

Acorn Caravan Holidays does not accept liability for alterations to the entertainment programs or park facilities from those currently advertised. You are bound by the rules of the park at all time.

Owners rights

Acorn Caravan Holidays reserve the right to refuse any booking or terminate any holiday if the terms and conditions are broken.If you or any member of your party breaches their obligations under this agreement, we have the right to take action against you.

Dogs

No dogs are allowed in the holiday home unless it is a pet friendly caravan and authorised by Acorn Caravan Holidays.

Dogs must not be left unattended in the holiday home unless authorized by Acorn Caravan Holidays, failure to abide by this could result in termination of your holiday.

Dogs are not allowed on beds, sofa’s and chairs – failure to comply with this rule may result in extra cleaning costs which will be deducted from the retainer deposit.

Dogs must be kept on a lead on the park grounds at all times.

Dogs must not be allowed to foul on park grounds. Should this happen the owner must remove it and place it securely wrapped in the bins provided.

Dogs are not permitted in the children’s play park, crazy golf area, carpeted areas of clubhouse, swimming pool area & field area.

Strictly no more than 2 dogs are permitted per caravan – this is the parks rule, and failure to abide by this rule will result in your holiday being terminated.

Some breeds of dog including those listed in the dangerous dogs act 1991 are not allowed on the park.

Our Service To You

We do all we can to ensure that you enjoy your holiday accommodation. However, if any problems occur, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately so we can respond as soon as possible. You will have no claim against us for problems reported after the holiday.
